delicious but most cans dented.rusted, etc March 4, 2010 magoo55 I was only able to use one of a dozen cans - they had to be disposed of as they were rusted, dented and dirty. After disinfencting the only undamaged can, i found this product to be delicious , it is a shame i won't attempt to reorder. This is the 3rd Loma Linda product that has arrived in such horrible , unsanitary and unusable condition ..
My children love these! July 6, 2009 C. Griffin (Columbus OH) We prefer these to frozen meatless "meatballs". I uses them in spaghetti, drain off the gravy, but also make stroganoff with them. They are very good with a nice, firm texture.
Meatless Vege Beef Stew April 20, 2009 L. Nissenbaum (Brooklyn,NY USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These rounds make a great beef stew. Just peel&slice 2-3 carrots, 1 rib celery, sliced, 2-3 potatoes, cubed small, 1 onion, chunk chopped and 2 plum tomatoes, chunked small. Cut tender rounds in half, and cook in the gravy. Add 1/2-1 cup beef broth, onion & garlic powder,1 tsp each, S&P to taste and 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce; let cook,covered,med-low, 30-45 min or until veges are fork tender. If it needs thickening add 1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 tbsp cold water, add to stew, bring to a low boil and cook uncovered 5-10 min more. Of course add your own touches, veges or spices as you like. Serve over rice noodles or your favorite pasta.Enjoy!
Tender rounds December 15, 2008 Regina Casey (Tempe, Az United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I opened the can I didn't like the way the product looked and smelled. Kinda reminded me of Alpo. However, I poured off the gravy and put the meat balls in marinara sauce. Then it was pretty good. Reminded me of the meatballs in Franco American speghetti and meatballs. But not a mystery meat.. so it was good.
Delicious and quick to make November 7, 2008 LAS (NJ, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The only problem with Tender Rounds is that I tend to eat them right out of the can while I am cooking! They are delicious and so easy and quick. I put them in spaghetti sauce, I serve them as sandwiches on toasted rolls, I serve them over noodles in a brown gravy... the list goes on and on. Add them to soups, to Rice A Roni dishes, too, and get a nice protein boost to your meal. A wonderful inexpensive meal in our house consists of dried Chinese noodles (NOT fried Ramen noodles, but unfried noodles that we get at a local Chinese supermarket) cooked with a can of Tender Rounds, including their gravy. A little seasoning, a little hot chili sauce.... mmmm. Tastes great, costs little and opens up congested sinuses to boot!
