extremely overated product November 20, 2009 Jeremy Deforest 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
the sellers of this product make it out to be gourmet and or a delicacy but actually it is a average tasting food that compares to foods sold for around $2.00 per can. This product is not sold everywhere and that is how they get away with charging so much for it considering that some individual consider it indecent to consume dead animal remains as food.If the extremely high levels of salt in this product don't kill you then the price will when combined with complimentary foods to form full meal.
Tastes yummy, but not low fat September 29, 2009 Ciel (MA) I love the Fried Chik'n product, but it is certainly not low in fat (as suggested in the description). I like to refrigerate the can and then eat the product (minus the gravy) straight from the fridge. It's dense and a little chewy.
A review for the serious vergetarian July 7, 2009 Johnston Owl (Waterbury, CT) Hello first of all I if you haven't already seen my star rating for this item, I've rated it 4 stars. And I meant every one of them. However this is just the opinion of one person (myself).
When reading reviews something to consider is the fact that we all have different taste buds. While this product may taste great to me, it may taste like garbage to you. That being said here is my critical review of this product.
1. Does not taste exactly like chicken, however it is a great chicken alternative that taste somewhat like chicken. It does taste good.
2. The consistency is excellent. It's just the right thickness that you can easily cut with a fork.
3. Flavor is good by itself, but for those of you who require a little bit more, I suggest using "Seasoning Salt" and some "Black Pepper" or whatever you prefer... Garlic maybe?
4. Taste best with rice or noodles.
There's my review. Please consider...
Mixed Review February 15, 2009 Katie (Vermont) I like this product; I find it delicious. We eat it sliced into pieces and added to vegetarian dishes like stir fry. However, my husband doesn't much like it (he would give it two stars and I would give it five). We will be buying FriChik in the future, which he prefers--so that is an option if this one isn't your favorite.
Great product, fast shipping December 21, 2008 L. Dills Choose the "free shipping" option, thought we'd wait the 15 days, but box arrived within 5 days! Great product, can use in pot pies or breaded and fried, gravy is good over mashed potatoes too.
