Great Tasting Franks! September 6, 2009 Kathy Dempsey (Durham, North Carolina USA) I bought these after seeing the other reviews and I am very pleased! I cooked them on the stove with green peppers and onions (like Polish sausages) in some of the broth from the can and they turned out great! The appearance would be better if you brown or grill them, but the taste and texture is great. Also, I was very pleased with the nutritional facts - not too much sodium or fat, a good-sized serving and some fiber. I like that they are shelf-stable and will keep for a long time. It is too bad that these are not more widely available.
Ltspdboy July 26, 2009 G. Mattenson (New York) These are GREAT. My wife and I have been eating them for years. Love to roast them over the fire or just microwave them for 30 seconds. As a life long vegetarian I can not compare them to real hot dogs but I think these taste great =:D.
Big Franks October 29, 2007 Patricia Neely 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have eaten Big Franks for years. They are lower in fat and more digestable than beef weiners. The flavor is pleasant, the texture is very meat-like. They are precooked so they can be warmed in the mocrowave for about 2 minutes for four franks. They are very versatile and can be carried without refrigerated if they have not been opened. Soy is the major ingredient and it is the only plant protien which is a complete protein by itself. Patricia Neely-Mississippi
Taste like diet Big Franks July 18, 2007 C. Green 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are ok if you want something lower in fat. They are half the fat of a regular Big Frank, but they have a different texture and taste.
Low Fat Big Franks are Great March 8, 2007 Kimberly Blaik (Texas) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have had a hard time finding a vegie hot dog that I like. I have tried them all. I loved the Big Franks that were not low fat, but getting them was a problem. This is my first try of the low fat ones and I do think they are just as good, and now getting them is easy too.
